On thanksgiving Monday, we reflected on Psalm 136 and God’s “Forever Love”. We looked at God’s enduring and faithful love to his people throughout creation and all of history, leading up to today. You, as a congregation, were invited to provide reasons why you are thankful for God’s “Forever Love”. Below is the Psalm 136 that you wrote from your own stories and experiences of God’s love.

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.

His love endures forever.

Give thanks to the God of gods.

His love endures forever.

Give thanks to the Lord of lords:

His love endures forever.

4To him who provides for all our needs,

His love endures forever.

5Who gives us families of love and support,

His love endures forever.

6mothers who are always there and strong,

His love endures forever.

7a church community who stands beside and behind us,

His love endures forever.

8in times of struggle and times of joy,

His love endures forever.

9in times of illness and times of health,

His love endures forever.

10Who gives us a place to call our home,

His love endures forever.

11the country of Canada,

His love endures forever.

12Who makes his home within our hearts,

His love endures forever.

13Who provides us with clean water and food to eat,

His love endures forever.

14To him who provides for our deepest needs,

His love endures forever.

15by sending Jesus to die for us,

His love endures forever.

16and cleansing us from all our sins,

His love endures forever.

17granting us abundant life today and always,

His love endures forever.

18He is our “Amazing Grace”.

His love endures forever.

19To him whose knowledge knows no bounds,

His love endures forever.

20who sees each day before it happens,

His love endures forever.

21who knows us each and all by name,

His love endures forever.

22and knows what we need before we ask it.

His love endures forever.

23To him who restores and heals our brokenness,

His love endures forever.

24who removes cancer from the body,

His love endures forever.

25who provides hope when all hope seems lost,

His love endures forever.

26who stands with us when others have abandoned.

His love endures forever.

27To him who loves us with an everlasting love,

His love endures forever.

28Even though we do not deserve it,

His love endures forever.

29even though we cannot earn it,

His love endures forever.

30whose love for us never stops growing,

His love endures forever.

31who gives us the hope of everlasting life.

His love endures forever.

32Give thanks to the God of heaven.

His love endures forever.
